NRLP's home energy audit program will be returning soon
As your local public power utility, NRLP wants to help you save energy and money.
Once the COVID-19 pandemic subsides, we plan to resume free, in-home residential energy audits to any customer who would like one.
NRLP has offered this free program in the past, however it was temporarily suspended due to a lack of interest. We look forward to resuming these energy audits once it is safe to do so.
To gauge interest in the program, please fill out this form if you are a residential customer who would be interested in a home energy audit once the program returns.
In the meantime, if you have any questions about your bill or your usage, please do not hesitate to reach out. We are here to help.
Stay tuned for an announcement on when in-home energy audits will resume.
Residential Energy Audits
NRLP's home energy audits are designed to provide insights on energy efficiency and to help our customers better understand their energy usage, with the goal of energy conservation and cost savings.
During the audit, the energy advisor will be looking at the following:
- insulation levels
- air infiltration leaks
- appliances (water heater, space heater, dryer, refrigerator, freezer, thermostats, etc.),
- heating/cooling system
- air filters
- attic pull down steps (if applicable)
- any other health or safety concerns
Customers who participate in the program will also receive a complimentary energy savings kit from NRLP.
