Energy and Temperature Tracking Tools
NRLP offers several energy forecast and monitoring tools to help you track and adjust your daily energy usage.
Sign up for usage tracker notifications through the Customer Portal! Receive customizable notifications via text or email about daily energy use by signing up under the “Notifications” section of your online account.
These features can also be accessed on the NRLP Connect mobile app.
IntelaHome® Energy Dashboard
IntelaHome® Energy Dashboard is a free tool that allows NRLP customers to track their daily energy usage using real-time data.
The IntelaHome® usage tracker provides charts and insights into energy use habits that include daily temperatures to help monitor and inform decisions about daily use.
To get started, log in to your online account and go to the “Daily Usage” section. For more detailed information, you can explore the IntelaHome® Energy Dashboard available in your account.
TempTracker 365™
TempTracker 365™ is a free tool provided by ElectriCities of North Carolina, Inc. that records daily high and low temperatures.
The tool allows you to create monthly calendars for tracking temperatures and estimating energy use, as well as generate comparisons between billing periods.
To create a calendar for the Boone area, select “New River Light & Power Company” under the Community list.
Energy Forecast – Electric Cost
Energy Forecast – Electric Cost is a free tool provided by ElectriCities of North Carolina, Inc. that helps you estimate average cost of energy usage in your home.
The tool allows you to set your heating/cooling system type and provides recommended settings for your thermostat to help you manage your daily electric costs based on the current weather and temperature forecast.
